Wendy Maruyama has been teaching for 30 years: she has taught at SDSU since 1989, and prior to that, she headed the program at California College of Art. Her focus has been to create a unique multidimensional program that straddles the lines between Craft and Art.
Mattthew Hebert joined the faculty in Fall of 2007: prior to arriving at SDSU, he taught at Chicago Art Institute and at UWMadison. He brings an exciting component to the program, and is credited with building and developing the Digital Fabrication Studios, which is integrated into the Furniture/Woodworking program.
